The 6th Joint Dresden DZG Symposium will take place on March 26, 2024 at the Medical Theoretical Center (MTZ). This year’s guest will be Minister of State Sebastian Gemkow. In addition, Prof. Jakob N. Kather (EKFZ) will be the keynote speaker on the topic of ‘AI in Medicine’. Furthermore, Prof. Triantafyllos Chavakis (IKL) will give an insight into his research in DZG-overarching projects and his experiences with such collaborations.
Our annual call for proposals for DZG-overarching projects supports young researchers in building partnerships and promotes networking. At the 6th Joint DZG Symposium, the winners of the 2023 call will present their DZG-overarching projects and we will open the new call for 2024. There will be opportunities to actively network and find potential partners for the next collaborative projects.
The Joint Dresden DZG Symposium provides a platform for young and established scientists to exchange ideas on current research strategies and state-of-the-art methods across the German Centres for Health Research (DZG) in Dresden. Dresden unites three DZG:
They were established by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with the aim of bringing research results more quickly to patients and thus significantly improving the prevention and treatment of common diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and diabetes.
The aim is to raise awareness of the resources available in Dresden and to promote personal contacts that will enable the identification of interfaces and the development of interdisciplinary DZG research projects.
We will also be attending the symposium and look forward to exchanging ideas with you, e.g. at the poster session, where our Morpheus team will also be presenting.
